Changes to Membership Structure and Fees.

In 2020, IECA members voted to reunify Regions 1 and 2 (IECA Australasia) into one global organisation. This decision has strengthened IECA as a united, cohesive association, fostering global knowledge-sharing, product access, education, mentorship, and member value.

The Australasian Chapter Board has reviewed and approved the new membership structure and fees adopted by the IECA HQ Board. These changes, effective from 1 January 2025, mark the first revision of Australasian Chapter membership fees in over a decade. The Board remains committed to minimising operating costs while maximising member benefits. Please visit our FAQ page for more details.

IECA HQ now oversees key functions for the reunified regions, supported by a committee of regional leaders, including the Australasian Chapter President and HQ President. This committee regularly reviews:

  • Reunification progress
  • Financial adjustments (e.g., dues, officer salaries, event profits)
  • Regional relationships
  • Membership structures and transitions
  • Conferences and events planning

In 2025, IECA HQ will upgrade its membership management system to a cloud-based platform, streamlining administration and delivering several benefits to the Australasian Chapter, including:

  • A single login for all IECA online benefits (event discounts, eHub training, magazine access, etc.)
  • Reduced administrative costs through website integration with HQ systems
  • Enhanced member communication and services with added support from IECA HQ staff

This transition underscores IECA’s commitment to providing members with streamlined processes and enhanced value globally.
